Eye shadow is a girl’s best friend, or at least one of them. With the assortment of various colors in its finest coordination, it can be difficult to commit to one color for the moment. Say you are wearing a turquoise blouse with blue denim jeans. With a magnificent color that radiates like the waters of South Beach, you of course will need the icing on the cake, which is your eye shadow color.

There are different looks you can tease and play with of course. You don’t need to utilize one single color alone. As a matter of fact, most cosmetic savvy individuals, such as me, swear on blending and contrasting colors that compliments what you are wearing. So using the example of the turquoise blouse and blue denim jeans, to add a rather playful yet dramatic approach, blending a dark shade with a light shade of blue is in order. This is what I call the art of blending. Eye Shadow Palettes were made for it. A woman can never just commit to one color alone because then that defeats the purpose of owning an eye shadow palette.
What I love most about having a variety of colors, is that each color has a personality and aura of its own depending on what you identify it with. Take my favorite color obviously, which is turquoise. For me, that color means angelic and heavenly. When I apply those colors, I think of the stunning clear blue water beaches of San Juan, Puerto Rico. People can surmise volumes by what’s on your eyes. With every color, comes a feeling and feelings are often blended, hence why we own an assortment of eye shadows.
