I bore the unfortunate task of assisting my girlfriend carry a multicolored sequins bag stuffed with a heavy laptop, but it was all worth it when a store clerk complimented me on what she thought was a nuveau chique male accessory.
We left NineWest bags in hand, and taking in the attire of everyday New Yorkers as we headed downtown along 5th avenue. You could see beautiful young maidens clad in simple, yet elegant spring/summer dresses. Some of them actually need help as we observed more than one flawlessly skinned scantily summer dressed beauty with shoes that don’t quite match the dress. Men are still suckers for business suits, although some are beginning to radicalize traditional business attire with more Euro variations.
Looking down at the grimy city streets is a feast for the eyes for those with a foot fetish. The latest open toe shoes some with the most wonderfully pedicured toes known to man are everywhere you look. And there’s an abundance of comfy and trendy urban kicks of every conceivable color scheme and design you can imagine adorning hipster men’s feet.
So if you want to check out fashion, you have to check out New York.
