Hit: Rachel Bilson wears playful take on menswear
Dis: We love Nelly but here comes the constructive dis…The bowed mesh heels are adorable, but all wrong with this dress. The subtle gold belt would be best in black patent for a truly ’50s feel. And although the red floral dress is lovely, its length doesn’t do her any favours. Your hem should always fall to the thinnest part of your leg – usually right above or below the knee – otherwise your leg appears thicker than it truly is.
Hit: The Canadian actress Sara Chalke wearing Pink and Red.
Hit: Cate Blanchette wearing Givenchy Resort Collection. The contradicting blouse has it all with a prim and proper buttoned up collar and fluttering sleeves in stark black versus white. Paired with a paisley pencil skirt, these unusual combinations are divine, made only better by a sleek deep side part and seriously smoky eyes.
Dis: This maxi skirt and crop top combo has potential but it’s not exactly well made. In a lighter fabric, the skirt train could flow, but it’s folding under the heavy weight, looking more like dated raver wear than red carpet cool.
